Description

Using the example https://plotly.com/r/configuration-options/ if the vector only has a single record the graph does not appear. For example:
modeBarButtonsToRemove = c('hoverClosestCartesian').

However if you add a second record the graph appears
modeBarButtonsToRemove = c('hoverClosestCartesian','hoverClosestCartesian').

Or if the list() function is used instead of the c() function, the graph also appears
ToRemove = list('hoverClosestCartesian')

Regards.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the plotly.com configuration-options example with one and two entries in modeBarButtonsToRemove, comparing c() with list(). Then trace how the R configuration is converted for rendering and verify that a single removed button still produces a visible graph.
