geom_segment missing text aesthetic

xend in geom_segment doesn't seem to be formatted in the same was as x in hover text. This could be fixed manually using the text aesthetic but this feature doesn't seem to be available for geom_segment. Is it possible to either standardize xend to the same formatting as x or to add the text aesthetic to geom_segment? Awesome project!

As an example x and xend are formatted differently on hover in the following plot:
