event_data() for drawopenpath etc., in ggplotly

I am using ggplotly in shiny with some interactive options of selecting some points via the lasso functionality and handling it through event_data("plotly_selected") which looks good however the same functionality doesn't work for drawopenpath or drawclosedpath. Is there any way I could handle this? Thanks!
