Description

I have an sf object that I plot with a basemap background, and I would like to plot it with ggplot and transform it to a ggplotly object.
Something like this:

library(ggplot)
library(ggspatial)
lubrary(sf)
library(plotly)
p <- ggplot() +
  annotation_map_tile(zoom = 7) +
  geom_sf(data = SF_OBJECT)
ggplotly(p)

when I try to run this script, I dont get the basemap, and get the following warning:
'''r
Warning message:
In geom2trace.default(dots[[1L]][[1L]], dots[[2L]][[1L]], dots[[3L]][[1L]]) :
geom_GeomMapTile() has yet to be implemented in plotly.
If you'd like to see this geom implemented,
Please open an issue with your example code at
https://github.com/ropensci/plotly/issues
'''

I request the plotly developers to implement geom_GeomMapTile() .

Research direction

Start with the reported geom_GeomMapTile() warning and reproduce the provided ggplot, annotation_map_tile(), geom_sf(), and ggplotly() example. Done means the map tile background is preserved in the resulting plotly object; the issue names no repository files or tests to guide implementation.
