toWebGL: 'scattergl' objects don't have these attributes: 'hoveron'

When trying to just go through plotly manual (see here), the toWebGL function has warnings and doesn't print the data. The warnings are all the same:

45: 'scattergl' objects don't have these attributes: 'hoveron'
Valid attributes include:

The same error arrises when trying to run this simple example.

Start with the toWebGL function and the simple example linked in the issue, then reproduce the warnings using the provided ggplotly example. Done means the tutorial example and simple example run without the scattergl hoveron warnings and the data is printed.
