Research direction

Start by tracing how MS4 generates and locates its in-situ MP3 beside the score, then review the existing MS3 upload and VST compatibility paths. Done should allow a same-folder, same-name pre-rendered MP3 to replace MS4-generated audio while preserving the requested upload and DAW/VST use cases.

Description

Your idea

It would be useful to be able to use a pre-rendered mp3 file, (e.g. generated by MS3 or by a DAW or VST3), in place of the MS4 generated in situ mp3 file.

To avoid extra settings it could be required that such an mp3 file resides in the same folder, and with the same name, as the score.

Problem to be solved
  1. Uploads from MS3 no longer working.
  2. Support for VST's that are not compatible with MS4.
  3. Addition of effects added via a DAW.
