Research direction

Start by tracing the Toggle Slash Notation tool and the notehead type panel, which currently expose the two slash styles. Done means users can choose slanted rectangles or diamonds as the default for long slash-notated rhythms, and the toggle uses that choice.

Description

Your idea

In musescore there are two different slash notation styles for half notes and above: one is slanted rectangles and the other is diamonds.

Currently the Toggle Slash Notation tool always adds slanted rectangles. I find the diamonds a lot more readable, so I end up swapping them via the notehead type panel. However, I have to manually do the swap each time.

I'd be nice if we could choose which of the two styles we'd like to have as a default.

Problem to be solved

There's no option for choosing the default style for Slash Notation's long rhythms.
