Research direction

The issue does not name any files, tests, or entry points. Begin by clarifying the intended incipit behavior at score and section starts, including how original clefs, keys, time signatures, and notation styles should be represented; completion criteria are not specified.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

feature request

When transcribed into a modern notation, pieces of early music often include a short passage (sometimes a single note, sometimes the first phrase) in the original clefs, keys, time signatures, and notation styles.

This request is for incipit at the start of the score or start of a section.
