ouch. it's really bad that `raw.save(my_bidspath)` generates filenames that can't be read by `read_raw_bids(my_bidspath)`.

Start by locating the read_raw_bids and Raw.save entry points, then reproduce the reported round-trip with a split dataset and inspect the filenames produced by raw.save(my_bidspath). Done means a dataset saved by Raw.save can be read back by read_raw_bids from the same path, including when splits are involved.
