Research direction
Reproduce the cursor-position problem in the vscode-java-dependency extension with the Vim plugin enabled, using NORM mode and Inlay Hints. Compare cursor behavior with Inlay Hints disabled and identify the extension entry point involved; done means the cursor remains at the intended position while both features are enabled.
