My suggestion meets these guidelines:

• This wouldn't be a breaking change in existing TypeScript/JavaScript code
• This wouldn't change the runtime behavior of existing JavaScript code
• This could be implemented without emitting different JS based on the types of the expressions
• This isn't a runtime feature (e.g. library functionality, non-ECMAScript syntax with JavaScript output, new syntax sugar for JS, etc.)
• This feature would agree with the rest of TypeScript's Design Goals.

Improve the experience of string literal edit.

📃 Motivating Example

let str = 'a very very /*cursor*/very long string'

Press Enter at cursor.

let str = 'a very very ' +
    'very long string'

And should not provide this in template literal.

Non viene indicato alcun file, test o punto di ingresso. Parti dall’esempio motivante in TypeScript e confronta il comportamento richiesto per Enter nei normali letterali stringa con l’esclusione dichiarata per i template literals; è completato quando l’editor suddivide la stringa come mostrato senza modificare il comportamento a runtime.
