Suggestion

It would be great if tsserver could log everything to STDERR instead of/in addition to the logfile.

Use Cases

When running tsserver remotely (not on the same computer, but on a server/in a container) it is currently difficult to forward logs to the client. Currently I am running tail on the logfile, but that takes up a file watcher or CPU for polling and has a delay.

Start by locating tsserver's logging implementation and how it currently writes to the logfile. Trace the configuration or entry point that controls logging, then determine how stderr output would coexist with or replace file logging. Done means remote users can receive tsserver logs through stderr without breaking existing logfile behavior, with tests covering the selected behavior.
