Description

From @ssi-hu-tasi-norbert on April 20, 2018 9:9

  • VSCode Version: 1.22.2
  • OS Version: win 10

Sort should be optional. I have imports from 3rd parties above and app imports below and I don't want to mix them. With a separator( for me it is a comment // app) these two sections can be sort separatedly.
Anyway, this is a great feature.

Thanks,

Norbert

Research direction

The issue names VS Code's organize imports feature but no files, tests, or entry points. Start by tracing the organize-imports command and its import-sorting behavior, then review related configuration handling. Done means users can disable sorting or preserve separately sorted import groups, with tests covering the requested behavior.
