Description

Installing on python 3.14:

```
register_finder(pkgutil.ImpImporter, find_on_path)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
AttributeError: module 'pkgutil' has no attribute 'ImpImporter'. Did you mean: 'zipimporter'?
[end of output]
```
The `ImpImporter` class was removed in Python 3.12

Research direction

Start by locating the dependency metadata that controls the package used during installation, then reproduce the reported install failure on Python 3.14. Done means the outdated ImpImporter reference is no longer encountered and installation succeeds on the affected Python versions.
