Description
Hello, I have an application where I would like to call is_land multiple times and for many coordinates, in the order of millions. Is there a way to speed up this process, instead of having to call is_land with one coordinate at the time. This is simply too slow for my application

Research direction
Start by locating the is_land entry point and reading how it handles one coordinate at a time. Check for existing tests or benchmarks around is_land before deciding how repeated coordinate queries should be measured. Done means a supported approach for many coordinates that is measurably faster than issuing individual calls.
