Description
To make for better reading, I compiled both .text files into PDF files:
[mpl_cartopy.pdf](https://github.com/user-attachments/files/20103097/mpl_cartopy.pdf)
[revised_workplan.pdf](https://github.com/user-attachments/files/20103098/revised_workplan.pdf)
If it would be welcome, I could open a pull reqeust to add these to the repository?

Research direction
Review the repository's two .tex source files alongside the linked mpl_cartopy.pdf and revised_workplan.pdf files. Confirm that the PDFs correspond to the sources and check the repository's existing document conventions; done means adding the two compiled PDFs if those artifacts are appropriate.
