Research direction

Start by reading the existing Python KMS authentication implementation and the linked confidant ticket for context on the requested GCP support. Determine how the current AWS KMS path is structured and what Cloud KMS authentication must cover; done means the library supports GCP Cloud KMS alongside AWS KMS, with behavior verified by the project's tests.
