git log tag1..tag2 with pygit2

How to do "git log tag1..tag2" with pygit2?

Is there a way to execute sh type git commands from within pygit2 or should I use other tool (subprocess.Popen)?

I just try pygit2, seems well implement but the documentation make it barely usable as we have to explore the lib base on few examples provided by ourself (it really time consuming)...
