Description

I am used to get the default branch name by running
git rev-parse --abbrev-ref origin/HEAD

but I can't find the equivalent on libgi2sharp
is this possible?

Research direction

Start by reading the libgit2sharp API related to branches and remote references, then compare its available operations with git rev-parse --abbrev-ref origin/HEAD. Done means establishing whether the library already exposes the default branch name and, if not, defining the needed API behavior and documenting or testing it.
