"unsupported url protocol" when trying to go a pull

I am trying to do a pull, using the documented code :

And I am getting an "unsupported url protocol"

I made sure that we are using https protocol by adding this to the git config :

[url "https://github.com/"]
insteadOf = git@github.com:
[url "https://"]
insteadOf = git://

Am I missing something ?

Start by reproducing the documented Pull example in the issue with the shown git config URL rewrites and capture the exact failing URL or protocol. Compare the configured remote URL and the rewritten form; done means the pull completes without the unsupported URL protocol error.
