References at bottom of page are not clickable links

For example on the git theory page the links at the bottom show URLS as text, but they are not clickable links.

Start with the git theory page and inspect the references section to see how its URLs are represented. Update the references so each URL renders as a clickable link, then verify the page displays working links at the bottom.
