Can't expand properties of objects in Props and State window

In my React Native app, I can see the Props and State as usual. Props contains a collection of objects. I can expand all of these objects; however, for all of the properties of these objects that are themselves objects, I cannot expand them. The right-pointing 'expand' arrow is there as shown in the screenshot below, but when I click that arrow, nothing happens. Any tips?
