Math formatting in titles

I searched through the issues and didn't find anything relevant. I'm a new gitit user, and have found that if I try to use some math markup in a title, perhaps set like this:

---
title: Testing math markup in title: $x^2 + y^2 = 1$
format: markdown
...

Testing math markup elsewhere: $x^2 + y^2 = 1$

```

I see something like this:

Reproduce the issue in gitit with the supplied title and body markup, then compare how math is rendered in the title versus the page content. Trace the title-rendering path first; done means the same math expression renders correctly in the title without regressing ordinary titles.
