Hi,
The ePub versions of the books are unusable on my eReader (Kobo Sage): the eReader freezes for a very long time (minutes) when turning pages, or freezes permanently until the device is restarted.
The issue seems to be related to code samples: the freeze happen when turning to a page with a code sample on it.
This is a fairly recent eReader and I have other large technical books that work well on it. For example Fluent Python is over 1000 pages and full of large code samples (even syntax highlighting) and it works great, pages turn immediately. Eloquent JavaScript is another that works great.
So I suspect the problem might be something to do with the JavaScript.info ePubs.
