Check whether each view creates an extra navigation event or moves to an unexpected location. Done means pane switching does not add unintended events and ESC consistently returns to the previous location.

This might be a duplicate but just documenting some details here for now.

When splitting to a new pane and then selecting a new view in that pane, extra navigation events are made.

Guilty views:

  • byte overview
  • type browser (sometimes? Can't reproduce consisently)
  • strings view (navigates to the first string in the view)
  • triage view (goes to entry point)

Worse, some of those views create navigation events so you can use ESC to back up to the previous location they don't work at all.
