説明

Summary

When I start command code, I get a message that it's being updated to version 0.41.1 from 0.25.1, but after exiting out of the program and opening it again it still shows version 0.25.1

I used bun to install the command code executable globally, I think this has something to do with it. After manually updating via bun install, I am getting the updated version.

Expected Behavior

The auto update should work, regardless of the package manager was use to install command code.

Actual Behavior

The auto update is updating the command code version, but upon restart it still shows the old version.

Steps to reproduce the issue
  1. Install command code using bun
  2. Run command code, auto update will trigger if it's available or run "/update" to update command code to latest version
  3. Re-open to see we are still at the last version not the latest version
