Start by locating the dashboard code that switches between FOE and SI when SI is out of hand, then inspect how the displayed indices are rendered. Define an indication that identifies the index shown and verify it appears correctly in the dashboard for both FOE and SI cases.

The rule of showing FOE instead of SI (when it is out of hand) works well, but there is no way to tell which indices are shown. Should we include some indication of it?
