Start with the linked back-end issue 47 and pybot/endpoints/api/slack_api.py at the users.admin.invite call. Review the documented and undocumented Slack invitation parameters and the military-status-to-channel association. Done means eligible users are invited to the appropriate military or veteran channels when they join, using the optional status data passed by the back end.

Cross link between back end issue 47.

The back end optionally passes the military status info to pybot, pybot has an association of military status to channel ID, and submits that with the optional parameters of the undocumented slack api call users.admin.invite called here with those slack channel ids if present.

A warning should be noted that this feature may be deprecated in favor of the priced (Plus/Enterprise) slack APIs in the future.
