Dataset Title
Cheeca Rocks Temporal Dataset (2012-2023)
Describe your dataset and any specific challenges or blockers you have or anticipate.
I am working on a benthic based project at NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory as apart of the Coral Lab group. This project essentially will observe changes in benthic cover (ESA coral species + sponges) and change in reef height as it relates to the carbonate budget. Structure-from-motion photogrammetry has been conducted at nearshore reef site Cheeca Rocks in the Upper Florida Keys. These 3D models are constructed in Agisoft Metashape to create digital elevation models (DEMs) and orthomosaics to be analyzed and annotated before exporting excel datasheets to be used in R and/or MATLAB. Right now, there are two separate datasheets from these outputs that need to be combined efficiently so changes in coral cover or species (i.e., bleaching event, dislodged corals, growth/erosion, colony size) can be better aligned with with changes in the 3D reef structure metrics (i.e., coral reef rugosity index, slope, ruggedness).
Info about "raw" Data Files.
raw data will include two files, 1 from DEM with summary of 3D metrics and 1 from orthomosaic annotated dataset
