Capacitor android livereload with SSL: App.openUrl() opens nothing

**Description:**
I implemented the App.openUrl() function of the App Plugin in my Ionic5/Angular10/Capacitor App. I`m using capacitor livereload with

cap run android --livereload --external --ssl

The command

var ret = await App.openUrl({ url: "https://myurl.com" });
console.log(ret)

does not open a system browser window as expected in livereload ssl mode. Output of console.log is `{completed: true}`

Everything works fine when I compile it with

ionic cap copy
ionic cap open android
