gulp4 with ionic v3 cli tasks won't run

I installed this plugin: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@ionic/cli-plugin-gulp

I want to run my gulp4 tasks when I run the ionic cordova build command.

It's not working for me. Is it compatible with gulp4?
