STACK error when discarding many changed files

This was witnessed on a HealthConnect instance after some unrelated gremlin changed the directory permissions of the git repository, causing every file to be shown as edited. We tried to select all through the Git Web UI and discard the changes, but gotten an "application error" popup. The Application Error Log showed a \ error:
\HandleRequest+269^SourceControl.Git.WebUIDriver.1 : CSP Error

The resolution was to go into the operating system and run git clean -df.

Start with the Git Web UI discard flow and the reported entry point, HandleRequest+269^SourceControl.Git.WebUIDriver.1; review the Application Error Log and reproduce the case where many files are marked edited after repository permissions change. Done means selecting and discarding the changed files no longer produces the CSP application error; the report's workaround is running git clean -df from the operating system.
