Please provide more info on configuration files

1. Where can I find the configuration files?
Do we need to keep the config files ? in following path

On Windows systems the config file is searched in the following paths:

%USERPROFILE%/can.conf

can.ini (current working directory)

%APPDATA%/can.ini

Please suggest
