Beschreibung
The commit c57480b1988bdb590c6b976335824a59bf2d3c0c suppresses it. However, some digging should be performed why the method crashes. Removing the `try ... except` will trigger it. Alternatively, the error can be observed [here](https://github.com/hardbyte/python-can/runs/2328475313#step:5:397).
This came up in #940.
