Automating attendance confirmation

I think it would increase the retention rate if we automated the email that goes out to attendees of events, for example a few days before the event application period/confirmation deadline.

Not sure how this is implemented but this is primarily how it would go:

Participant is accepted
Participants hasn't confirmed/denied attendance within 24h
Participant gets automated email "remember to confirm"
Participant accepts/denies/nothing
Participant gets another one

Or something like that. Opinions?

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating participant acceptance and confirmation handling, along with any existing event email functionality; clarify reminder timing, repeat messages, and no-response behavior before implementation. Done means the agreed reminder sequence is automated and verified.
