Profile information not updating after submitting application

A person submitted application for Junction Connected but, however, the information in the profile did not update. Also when clicking the "Edit" application, it shows the information in the profile from last year. So, the information doesn't seem to be updated from the user interface.

Can this be fixed?

Start by reproducing the issue through the application submission flow, then open the Edit application view and compare its profile data with the submitted values. Trace where the profile information is saved and where the edit form reads it; done means newly submitted information appears consistently in the profile and Edit application view.
