### Overview
We need to create a guide to making a Product Roadmap so that projects can stay clear and focused on the overall approved mission of the project and know where they are at any given time.

### Special Adoption note
Maria has made a guide that explain roadmaps. Our goal with the Guides is to get specific about how to make one at Hack for LA. So interviewing the projects that have done it, and writing up the guidance for that is the primary mission. The material that Maria provided can be used for context.

### Action Items
The phases in the guide-making process are listed below. Each phase displayed in blue is linked to a wiki page with instructions on how to complete that phase. Open the wiki page in a new tab, copy the instructions for each part into the section labeled 'Tasks' at the bottom of this issue, and complete each task listed.
- [ ] [Gather Examples Solo](https://github.com/hackforla/guides/wiki/How-to-Gather-Examples:-Solo) (open in a new tab)
- [ ] [Gather Examples Collaboratively](https://github.com/hackforla/guides/wiki/Phase-2-%E2%80%90-Gather-Examples-Collaboratively)
- [ ] [Create a Guide Draft](https://github.com/hackforla/guides/wiki/How-to-Draft-a-Guide)
- [ ] If needed, create a template
- [ ] [Have your guide peer reviewed](https://github.com/hackforla/guides/wiki/Peer-Reviews-for-Guides)
- [ ] [Present your guide for leadership review](https://github.com/hackforla/guides/wiki/Submitting-Your-Guide-for-Leadership-Review)
### Resources/Instructions

- Google Drive Folder for this Guide’s documents and shortcuts (to documents in other locations) [0059 [DRAFT] Product Roadmap](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pms6obgYc66tpqhs-WhSdCJ8dTXPVttU)
- [Guide: Product Roadmaps](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sZHHfqXoui4zsMQ2l_O3TRIJcXQnyOO-bF-KY9jl4qM/edit)
- this appears to be a draft and is not yet complete - there needs to be more HfLA examples. Linking to what has been done but not showcasing it as an example doesn't allow for our community to efficiently work using those templates/examples
- [VRMS Roadmap Guide](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BlhtbYBbSBlwSKNFupqUwdtKiUluCErIt0Mr4vNzxlA/edit)
- this is referenced on the last page in the Guide: Product Roadmaps

Rechercherichtung

Start with the 0059 [DRAFT] Product Roadmap Drive folder and the linked Guide: Product Roadmaps document, then review the VRMS Roadmap Guide for context. Follow the linked wiki instructions for gathering HfLA examples, drafting, peer review, and leadership review. Done means a guide with specific project examples has completed the listed review stages.
