Reproduce the request from the example using PlacesApi.placeDetails(context, request.placeId).await(), then inspect PlaceDetailsRequest.java and the response parsing shown in the stack trace. Trace where the fields parameter containing scope is produced; done means the reported request no longer fails with the unsupported scope field error.
