Opentelemetry permission denied error

So, we use Cloud Spanner with python sql alchemy client. Works almost perfectly fine, except for an error stating that permission is denied for monitoring.timeSeries.create.

I would be perfectly fine to not write monitoring timeSeries from my client. But I don't get how to disable it in the python sql alchemy client
