Description

When using `GoogleCredential.getApplicationDefault`, the credentials are cached in `DefaultCredentialProvider` ([code](https://github.com/googleapis/google-api-java-client/blob/8b46efb4532097fecff2591398dcf6667718e432/google-api-client/src/main/java/com/google/api/client/googleapis/auth/oauth2/DefaultCredentialProvider.java#L95)).

This is an issue for long lived programs where the application defaults may change. One example is the Gradle wrapper (see https://github.com/gradle/gradle/issues/31652#issuecomment-2535320948).

It would be nice if `GoogleCredential` could be instanciated so that we could manage its lifecycle.
