Compact source file support in IDE plugins (IntelliJ/Eclipse?)

Hello: feel free to close or whatever if this isn't the place to ask.

I've been getting a bunch of popups about google java format not working in IntelliJ (most recent version) -- using a lot of compact source files in java these days.

Is there a blocker or a timeline as to when we could expect the intellij/eclipse/etc plugins might to get updated to support these types of files? I notice just running jdtls LSP in emacs does it -- and was surprised/curious why the IJ plugin doesn't do it yet
