Description
Hello,
I've recently downloaded Zed Editor (for windows through scoop.sh) for its AI aptitude, speed, efficiency... and wanted to set-up my new game idea with the spec kit. I set-up the spec kit in powershell, chose "PS" for the terminal and then i first installed the Github Copilot AI Model to use in the zed editor. However, when I launched the file from powershell (with "Zed .") the zed editor launched, however when i went to type /constitution, or /specify.. I got the following:
The /constitution command is not supported by Zed Agent.
Available commands: none
However, some might say that i could run the spec kit in the zed editor's Zed Agent chatbox, however this only works as long as you keep your thread open (if you open a new thread, i would need to redo all of the spec kit setup steps)
Alongside, Zed Editor also supports Gemini and Claude code as external egents (And I saw that "/" commands get autofilled and probably if i set-up the spec kit to be compatable with claude code or gemini, i could get it running), but the problem is that i'm using Github Copilot and OpenRouter for LLMS and since these models are incorporated in zed editor (like its not a seperate extension), the spec kit doesn't properly integrate.
I'd appreciate if someone smarter than me could give an idea how to set it up properly with zed editor.
Much abliged spec-kit enthusiasts.
