Description

### Value Prop
Getting a site live on GitHub Pages no longer requires CI/CD expertise. One-click GitHub Pages deployments give you a guided, single-action path from repository to published site—no manual workflow authoring, no YAML debugging, no guesswork. Pages automatically detects your framework (e.g., Next.js, Vite) and walks you through a streamlined deploy flow, so you spend less time on infrastructure and more time shipping. This brings the GitHub Pages experience in line with modern "connect and deploy" expectations, making it the easiest way to publish directly from your repo.

### Expected Outcome

We want to dramatically reduce time-to-first-deploy for GitHub Pages, eliminating the setup friction that has historically pushed users toward third-party hosting providers. By lowering the barrier from multi-step Actions configuration to a single guided action, we expect more repositories to adopt Pages as their default publishing target, fewer failed first deployments, and higher retention among users who would otherwise abandon the setup process. Ultimately, Pages becomes a viable, competitive default for any repository that needs a published site—across Free, Team, and Cloud plans.
