Cannot copy from console since v1.0.56

It says "copied to clipboard" but actually it's not.
This bug started since the latest v1.0.56 upgrade.

Start by reproducing the clipboard failure in the console on v1.0.56 and compare it with the preceding version. Trace the console copy action and its clipboard integration; done means copying from the console actually places the expected text on the clipboard and the regression is covered by an appropriate test.
