Example just does not seem to work

Unless I'm doing something quite wrong, the example only ever returns `Hubot` whether I type `Bender` or not. Why?

Start with the example referenced in the issue and reproduce the behavior with the inputs `Hubot` and `Bender`. Trace how the example handles the typed value and server search results, then verify that the output changes appropriately instead of always returning `Hubot`.
