Description

**Mood:** 😔
**Category:** General

I use a mono repo approach. OpenCode allows you to focus a session on a folder, wherever that may be. Copilot seems to refuse that and will only create sessions based on the repo root. That means it's potentially pulling in lots of other context that's totally irrelevant, especially when there are focussed AGENTS.md files in the sub-repos.

Research direction

The report concerns folder-focused sessions in the /chat path, with AGENTS.md files in sub-repositories. Start by tracing how the app selects a repository root when creating a session. Done means a session can target a chosen monorepo folder and use the relevant folder-level context instead of the repository root.
