This is not useful yet since it starts with a blank slate. I started getting excited when I saw you could work with multiple repos and find sessions across them and you can review work / find work / etc.

But the big blockers for me
Everything I've built in my repo like custom Agents and custom slash promtps, are not seen or usable without recreating them. VS Code handles this seamlessly. When I create a new customer agent or slah prompt for a work flow, once I've tuned it I just push to the repo and all my other devs have access to it. This just feels like the Claude or ChatGPT app - without the customizable features I get in VS Code Copilot chat. So if I have to completely change my workflow - it's a very slow adoption likelihood with my team.

Second biggest reason - or tied with first - You can't just see your previous VS Code sessions per folder. I just went through migrating to a new laptop and spent several days working on importing sessions from my old laptop because those are so important. I always have several sessions in flight and many many more I want to have historically.

So maybe the purpose of this is not to replace VS Code + Copillot but if it is becoming the center of focus, I'm concerned about all the effort we put into VS Code Copilot and may have to focus on switching to Claude before VS Code becomes the new left-behind feature set like VS2026. Sorry - not trying to be rude - I'm just a concerned fan.

Línea de trabajo

The request covers repository-backed custom Agents and slash prompts, plus access to previous VS Code sessions by folder. No files, tests, or entry points are named; begin by clarifying which capability should be delivered first and how it should behave. Done means the selected workflow is available without recreation and prior folder sessions can be viewed.
