Reasoning with Haiku not supported

Getting an error I have no control over since the model is set to Auto

Start by reproducing the error with the model setting left on Auto and inspect the attached screenshot for the exact failure. Trace how Auto selects Haiku and how reasoning support is handled. Done means Haiku no longer produces this error when selected through Auto, with a regression test covering the case.
