If I use the side chat feature, and that side chat opens a docs pane - like a plan document, the side chat replaces the main chat and then doc open replaces the side chat area. This causes the main chat to disappear. The only way to get it back is to close the app entirely and re-open/resume session.

Start at the /chat entry point and reproduce the flow on Windows: open side chat, have it open a docs pane such as a plan document, then observe the main chat disappearing. Trace the chat and docs-pane transition, and consider the issue done when the main chat remains recoverable without restarting the app.
