## Steps to reproduce

1. Work in a session.
2. Have the AI run `Extension reload`.

## Actual result

- The active session is disconnected when `Extension reload` runs.
- Messages can no longer be sent.
- The error `You are not licensed to use Copilot.` is displayed.
- Creating a Fork or a new session does not resolve the issue.
- Other projects and sessions continue to work normally.

## Expected result

Running `Extension reload` should not disconnect or make the active session unusable.
